Solid Backcountry Performance
Tailwheels come in all shapes and sizes, but for those in the backcountry nothing beats simple.
The Colorado Cub tailwheel assembly is as simple as it gets. It has no internal parts, no arms, no springs, no chains, no pins, and the whole assembly is held in place by a single AN bolt.
Our tailwheel utilizes Polyoxymethylene (POM) bushings which are simple to maintain or replace. A single heavy duty stainless steel external retaining ring snaps the limited number of parts securely together.
This tailwheel assembly utilizes the Matco WHLT-11D wheel, tire, axle, and spacers which are not included. A complete part number list will be provided at delivery or by contacting dave@ColoradoCub.com
This kit includes (1) tailwheel fork, (2) inner wear bushings, (2) top wear bushings, (1) retaining cap, and (1) stainless steel retaining ring.
Installation
Determination of airworthiness and installation must be performed by a qualified A&P.
Delivery
We have limited stock on hand. Expect a 2 to 4 week lead time on all CNC'd anodized products.

Order a 3D printed prototype in PLA plastic to test fit to your airframe. If it fits, the cost of the 3D printed prototype will be credited to your following 6061 aluminum order.
